Anyone can answer. I replaced one and the belt is flapping. How much more i need to crank on it to stop flapping. Also have some smoke coming from it as it heats up.

Sounds easy enough lol

Steve Lentz says:

Thanks for the info. We own these buggers and the alternators are a pain to replace. I left the coolant reservoir on and was able to still pull it out. Just in case someone sees this video and wants to do it even faster lol

Clinton Johnston says:

Maybe someone can answer this for me, will an alternator from a neon work in my PT Cruiser?

Ahmin Yashed Tyree says:

I just removed and replaced my alternator in my 2005 pt in less than 2 hours from the top without even jacking the car up or messing with the motor mounts. You guys gotta get out there and problem solve. Watching these videos and doing what a book tells you isn't always the best way to do it

It's The Harvisons says:

This is the best and easiest way to do this. I recommend removing the bottom bolt on the AC dryer (the silver cylinder left of the overflow reservoir) so it can wiggle a little. Pulling it out through the top is a VERY tight squeeze so every 1/16 of an inch you can spare helps. Saved me a ton of money. Thanks dude.

this guy is all over the map… adhd???

Fred Hinerman says:

Do you have to fully remove the tensioner bolt
