That looks like a Dodge Caravan engine

MyEyesBled says:

Just hate those new style Sears ratchets…

Anthony Ordonez says:

A good way to remember is that when you are taking off the battery
,subtracting weight (-) then you disconnect the negative terminal and when
you are putting it in the car ,(+) adding weight you attach the positive
terminal first.

Khosro Gharib says:

Well-done sir. Good work!

Mario Torres says:

Interstate batteries are the best. I bet that that one had been doing its
duty for at least like 5 years if it was shot.

Common sense stuff about batteries remove the hot line first this got a lot
of views for being something the average person should know

Interstate Batteries says:

Good tips, and thanks for featuring our battery! 🙂 We especially like the
part on removing the negative first & reattaching it last.

Davin Peterson says:

700 CCA and 875 CA are good. The higher the cold cranking amp rating of the
battery, the better it is for your car. But, don’t get that confused with
cranking amps – CA. See, cold, cranking amps – CCA, cranking amps – CA. The
cranking amps are rated at 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Cold, cranking amps are
rated at 0, and the higher the temperature when they’re doing the rating,
the higher the numbers. So, that CA rating may look impressive, but it
really isn’t. Rely on cold cranking amps.
So if you have a car that is lightly used, it sits for a long period of
time; well, you want the longest reserve capacity you can get. So, here’s
what you do – when it comes time to buy a battery, you’re looking to find a
happy medium between the biggest cold, cranking amp rating that you can get
and the biggest reserve capacity rating that you can get

Adam Yamada-Hanff says:

My video has over 10,000 views! Sweet!

LaMetrius Jackson says:

Is red positive? What exactly will happen if someone uninstalls a batt and
takes the positive off first? Conversely, what will happen if someone
installs a batt and puts the neg on first?

HelloImTheDoctor1 says:

Think I might have to change my battery it around 16 or 17 years c:

PandaTech09 says:

haha i did have the satisfaction of knowing how to now, but when my father
replaced it last time he tightened the bolts too tight and i couldn’t do it
on my own after all XD but the oddest thing happened when we started off
with negative it nearly shocked dad is it suppose to do that??

MrPlytiger says:

corrosion on the terminals = bad baddery?

Christina Love says:

Thanks for this! I’m thinking its coming up time to change my battery. I’ve
had the car for over 3 years and it’s 9 years old. I don’t think its ever
been changed and has had some issues starting lately

plazatow says:

Even though the battery is new you should use a battery terminal brush and
brush the terminals before installing. This will insure proper conection
and charging.

bjanuszewski says:

great vid. best 1 on the subject imo

PandaTech09 says:

thank you so much for this i’m really terrible with anything having to do
with my car but this has been extremely helpful!

SportsCarAdvisors says:

Well done – good video.

Adam YH says:

The steps and procedures are the same. Some cars have batteries in the
trunk and are difficult to get out and install without proper tools.

Adam YH says:

Thanks, I appreciate the kinds words! Glad to hear I could help you replace
your car battery. It is easy to do, you just need to know how to do it
properly and safely. I will definitely try to post more How-To videos.

IronMike425 says:

Thanks very much. This video just helped me out. I just replaced my car
battery using this as my guide and it worked first time. I didn’t realize
it was necessary to disconnect and reconnect the terminals in a specific
order. .. Thank you very much for making this.

Adam YH says:

@kenny50776 Your are right! I should have put some terminal protector spray
on the terminals and cables. I am good about checking them and cleaning
them. I did lock the battery and it was included, you just did not see it!
