I thought this at first but when i went to drill the hole to install a
bigger tap for a larger bolt I pretty much went down to the steel, I
figured the whole post was lead but I found out it wasn’t, Same was true
with my duralast crap battery. I wouldn’t drill into the steel, I am
guessing that might be just as thin as the lead over the steel insert.
Automotive Battery manufactures are smart, Once a battery is stripped more
business for them and retailers. Simply evil is you ask me.
Why not just tap the lead out and use a larger bolt?
