You sir are a life saver with that shortcut for the side adjusters. Thank
you!

Fry says:

When you’re using the shortcut on the threaded couplers holding the carrier
in are you prying on the holes the tool would lock into? I’m going to be
replacing the pinion bearing, how do I know what the preload should be at
for a new bearing and crush sleeve?

scott dimauro says:

do u have to heat the ring gear up like you would the bearings

scott dimauro says:

the advice

scott dimauro says:

how do u install a ring gear on a dodge ram 1500

wafrederick says:

Matco tools sells a kit to remove that spider gear pin and does
work.Seals, don’t ever buy the cheap seals and you will do the job all over
again.Buy the good axle seals and you won’t do the job all over again.Reuse
the crush sleeve, the new one is a real bastard to crush when tightening the
pinion nut.

Jackyl82334 says:

Well done, It’s always nice to see someone who does a good job with the
tools at hand and not giving you a bunch of tool numbers, Chrysler is so
bad about making you buy one-off tools, thanks for some good ideas.

lawnside82 says:
