This works for many other vehicles systems that use the flip down screens. Chrysler town and country, vw Volkswagen routan, dodge caravan.
This is very easy to do and only takes about 30 minutes, start to finish.
Save yourself some money, don’t pay the dealership $1500 for a new unit!

I have a 2008Jeep Grand Cherokee. My ves system turns on I get a black screen and sound. I replaced the cable but it didn't fix the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for this video, had the same issue with exact dvd player screen in my 2015 dodge journey. Bought cable from a motherboard repair company out of greenville. Paid $40 for two instead of $500 for a new screen.
I replaced the cables but the DVD light is still flashing on my player. There is no DVD in the player. I can insert and eject disc. My front screen is still black and the back screen is split. I'm working on a 2008 Caravan. Any suggestions?
