Daniel Rodriguez says:

Do you know how to put the fog light relay under the dash? Because there is
a problem, that PT Cruisers have, the wire that is goes to the back of the
in-dash fuse box gets too hot and can damage the multifunction box and
switch… mine is getting too hot only when turning on the fog lights, the
fix is to put a relay in there, but dont know how, and O cant see the PT
Crew frorum because of country issues… thay would be cool, if you do a
vide.. thank you so much.. Daniel

I have two request, how to install subwoofers in pt cruiser & how to fix a
window that won’t come down.

Jesus Rodriguez,Jr. says:

Were I could find the Relay for my PT 2006?

Ken Flick says:

explained…. $$

Amanda Lam says:

Awesome video! This is really going to help me change my friends
multi-function switch. Nicely done.

Cesar Reyes says:

So I put the new multi function switch in and now the fog lights are
working! BUT my turn signals are not, I put the old MF switch back in and
the problem persists. Any ideas?

charles albert says:

open gas cap place rag in filler neck and light. problem solved.

Haven Decay says:

I do have a question. I got a PT Cruiser at the beginning of the year (and
it’s pretty crappy)!
It acts like it’s in neutral (when in drive) – in that I need to step on
the gas a bit more to get it going. It does this time to time. I know the
serpentine belt needs replacing (at least one). Could this be the cause?

Great video
The other day I thought I could smell electrical smoke and then I notice my
lights blinking off and on when my car is shut off. The lights have been
draining my battery. I’m guessing the multifunction switch is the problem.

ChrisFix says:

Great! Glad the video is helpful!!! Give it a thumbs up, it helps me out!
Thanks!

ChrisFix says:

It’s not “just” another thanks, I appreciate all of the thanks! It makes
making these videos worth it!

Cesar Del Rey says:

this is just a perfect video…just what i need!!!

Cesar Reyes says:

Just another thanks!

I took out the foglight fuse for a while but now the lights are flickering
slightly on my 02…Lots of forums say to replace the MF switch…Hope it
fixes it….Seems to be draining the battery a little still if i let the
car sit for more than a day…It will not start as good as if i only let it
sit a few hours. Guessing the alternator is just barely keeping it charged

213mrlos says:

Yeah im just starting to do mods on mines. I will be making a video of my
lowering springs installation, here pretty soon. I’ll hit you up if
interested once I post it.

Exellent how to vid – changed my switch out in 20 min – no more dead
battery! Total cost $70.00.

ChrisFix says:

No prob! Give it a thumbs up if you havent already! Thanks! And, naw, mine
is completely stock. How about you?

wildddeer Divine says:

THANKS FOR GETING BACK FOR SOME OTHER TO SEE HOW AND WHY YOU DID WHAT YOU
DID KEEP THE VIDEOS COMEING AND THANKS

ChrisFix says:

Because I knew that was what was wrong. That is why I pulled the fuse and
why the fog lights would stay on. It is a common problem on Pt Cruisers.
You are correct tho. I should have been more thorough and showed that the
draw went back down to normal…

wildddeer Divine says:

WHY DIDN’T YOU RECHECK THE LAMP WITH THE TESTER BE FOR PUTING ALL BACK TO
SHOW THAT WAS WHAT WAS WRONG LIKE THE VIDEO

ChrisFix says:

Lol, I’m glad the video helped!!!

FLV8Jeeper says:

My friend has a PT Cruiser and the wipers, headlights, turn signals do not
work. Not sure about the hazards, forgot to ask. I have not looked at it yet
just found out about it. Just want to get your opinion on this. Everything
on the multi-switch stopped working at the same time. Since everything on
the multi-switch does not work, that would probably be a fuse or the relay
that is on the back of the multi-switch right? Great video and thanks for
any info you can give me on this.

Chris Chandler says:

Nice! I have a 2012 Chrysler 200, and my turn signals, and wipers aren’t
working. When I change out the part, do I need to unplug the airbag?

22trains says:

Great video – I followed your instructions and in an hour I was done.
Really appreciate your taking the time to post the video so that shade tree
mechanics can tackle problems without fear. Saved mega bucks DIY!! Thanks!
P.S. Got the part at Auto Zone for $60 bucks.

wretcheddecayrecords says:

Hey bro….awesome video. Ive just brought a PT Cruiser touring edition
2004 and noticed that the fog light on the dash was on….but the fog
lights were not. I then noticed that the #8 fuse had been removed (the one
to the fog lights). Was wondering around the internet noticing a lot of
people having this same issue. I was only presuming it was going to be the
multifunction switch and after research it turns out that this is the
problem. Thanks for the video. I’ll do it myself 😉

mrtwk63 says:

Great job on another video… Hey i need to top of the antifreeze on my
pt… Do you know what kind i should put in? It looks red or pink from what
I can tell.. I just don’t want to mix the neon green stuff with it… I’m
afraid it’ll mess something up… Any advice would help thanks…
