yep its me says:

My 2011 Caravan has just started ticking in the right side head. The left head was replaced under warranty at about 40000 miles, I was planning on putting new rockers and lifters in it. My question is does Chrysler replace the rockers, lifters and cams when replacing the cyl head under warranty? If so I will leave the left side alone for now.

Physical Starfighter says:

Bullshit the rockers in the 3.6 are defective they don’t all fail it’s just a matter of time like you said.

BlueberryFarm900 says:

I closely followed all steps in this two-part series to replace the
valvetrain components in the left head of my 2015 Wrangler's ticking 3.6
Pentastar at 60K miles. There was, indeed, a bad lifter and exhaust
rocker arm. After a couple of weeks of road and freeway use, the motor
is still purring and I'm confident my repair is successful and going to
hold up. I could not have done it without your incredible guidance,
David! I've been intimidated to get any lower than the top of the valve
covers for 30 years since a younger, tool-challenged me screwed up a
couple of engines. Yet here I am a short time ago, confidently holding
my Jeep's camshaft for reference photos! Furthermore, since I live in
Western Washington where parts and repair costs are HEAVILY inflated,
between this and my horribly-located PCV valve change, I saved myself
nearly $5K! A well-earned gift is coming your way, my friend! Thank
you on behalf of my whole family.

Clarence Boodram says:

I had the left side cams (2) changed , now I get a shudder in the engine, when idling and the oil pressure will drop from sat 160 to 112 when it happens any ideas ?

ThunderAppeal says:

If someone is so stupid that they need a video to figure out how to remove an intake they should immediately cease all under hood activity, put all tools away and preferably return them to the store they bought them from (most likely harbor freight or worse still the grocery store), call a flat bed and have the car delivered to a mechanic.
The person who needs a video to figure out how to remove an intake on an engine should NEVER open the hood, not even to check the washer fluid level, they should probably even have their drivers license revoked. Someone that stupid is a menace on the road.

For decades people have been working on their cars without a video explaining how to remove an intake, if society has become that stupid they should not procreate, humanity does not need any more stupid in our genes than we already have.

Little story , I Have a 2017 Ram pro master 1500 the engine stared to make a noise , after seeing your video more than once I decide to give it a try , what can I loose if I needed a new engine I made notes based and all your info , it took me 8 hours following everything step by step and I replace all the rocker arms all the lifters and one camshaft , all thanks to your video , I Cross my fingers at the end and the van stared with no noise , everything work perfectly, I’m not a mechanic but I can follow , I’m so grateful to you for taking the time and teaching your knowledge . Thanks again

William Page says:

Awesome video. now for part 2. Thanks a million.

Marcus Woods says:

If I am only having trouble with the front or left rockers do I need to break down the rear/right side as well?

David Blankenship says:

Hey David love you channel but anyway I’m replacing rocker arms in my2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited and just wondering on how to actually check my lifters to see if they are good or bad but keep in mind this vehicle has set for bout a month due to money situations and replacing parts ,so is there a way to bench test the lifters or something because I really don’t have the money to be throwing parts at my vehicle right now ?!!! And thanks great channel!!!

Paul J says:

Hat's off to you sir for such an excellent and badly needed video since you are the only person to put out a quality rocker arm replacement video. Not to mention the other plethora of video's you have created. You got my Sub and likes.

Ron Etcitty says:

Ray Amaya says:

Thank you sir your videos are so informative

Alessandro Terracciano says:

Now primary question, since working on the engine while still sitting in the car will be impossible… How do we remove the engine ?

Nick912OK says:

I have a 2015 jeep 3.2 terrible tick, figured it was this issue. Tore it apart and no loose rockers or cam scoring. I guess that's a good thing but what else could cause that noise?

Chrysler Forums says:

How can i contact you david? I have a question about the 3.5 chrysler Pacifica 2005

Traildisc says:

Al Karnes says:

Is there a difference between the left and right side intake camshaft

Steve C says:

They updated the rocker arms (although they look the same) in 2017+ engines to prevent the needle bearing issues.

Mark Branch says:
