After cleaning up the old 727, I ran it for about an hour testing things. Reverse seemed to be fine, but it was not shifting properly, and the forward gears did not seem to work well. I decided to take the valve body out and go through it, put in a shift kit, and see what improvements could be made. Valve body had a lot of varnish and dirt in it, stuck valves and so forth. I get it all cleaned out and the kit in it. Works much better, shifts well and holds in gear with manual shift.

I love when hobbyists get inside their transmissions. I know that soon they'll be bringing the car over to my transmission shop more times than not.
