My 98 Chevy Z71 is 20 years old, I have been through 3 of these Control Units, tried soldering the old Board as shown in several video's, it didn't work….
You'll probably notice that YOUR box won't have the silicone junk slopped all around the edge since the factory doesn't use it because the plastic seals the box against outside moisture. Someone had tried fixing THIS one by spraying some kind of water sealant on the circuit board AND putting a bunch of silicone around the edge. Then he probably found out that didn't fix it. What the problem was GM had some poor solder joints at the connections from the plug to the board, if you search through the fixes on YouTube there's one that shows you the ones that just need the solder joints reheated to make proper connection. It's that simple, no money involved, (unless you don't own a soldering iron g.
I've had two of these boards go out on me both times I was driving through heavy rain. Now after parting out my last blazer I keep it's wiper board in my toolbox so I can fix it on the side of the road if it happens again.
I had to work on my 1992 Silverado to fix that annoying linkage squeak… it was driving me sane. I followed this video, but didn't not replace the linkage, just got to the point where I could grease a spots where the squeak was coming from… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOGY672-kZs, it worked a treat!
hey do you have a steering column video? i had to tighten my tilt bolts and now im having trouble rebuilding it cause no my turn siginal isnt working right
does this fix the squeekiness of the windshield wiper blades or how have any of you fixed that problem, I have bosh wipers which are supposed to be quiet but damm they squeek so much
Easy enough. My question is, where did you get the lower dash fuse panel cover? I need one. Also, less than 200K miles on your truck. I am pushing 360K on my '94.
this doesn't apply to the video but did you do a video about diagnosing a window problem cause the drivers side window in my 1990 silverado wont roll down but the passenger will

i just got a 94 chevy 1500 pickup and the wipers only work on high. do you guys think this is the problem with mine or the wiper switch itself?
