I've owned 3 of this body style and the rust is important to look out for. HOWEVER, as important as the frame is check for bird cage rust. The bird cage is a metal frame that extends up and essentially is around the passenger compartment. A real bad spot that will rust is by the firewall up the side of the windshield leading to the T-Top center bar. Because 9r the T-tops they can rust from the top of the bird cage down. Check by the windshield vin plate as well or if you can see into between the door jams
Their 90’s trucks were great, most of the rest like you said are lackluster at best unless you get a deal. You need to be on the lookout for bondo too

That is a clean looking Vett and a steal for $10k. In some states and cities they waive the smog test on cars and trucks once they reach a certain age.
Thats a sweet ride! I'd give 10k for it.
