Hmm my mirror does not have the male and female connection like this one my cord goes straight into the inside of the mirror case and down into the door pannel

Nice and simple. Thanks!

Great video! Saved a lot of money doing myself after watching the video. I ordered an OEM mirror from Amazon. My advice is to save and reuse the original nuts as the washer is bigger on the original

Cyn_ M says:

I think in this video he’s removed the mirrors before, cause my mirror cables are attached to the door w other small clips. So unless you’ve messed w it before and have your clip right there like he does, you’re gonna have to remove the entire door panel to get to the clip for the mirrors. Definitely a lot more tedious.

Where do you buy this side mirror glass?

M Silva says:

We just now tried to do this to our 1999 chevy suburban but when we took that cover off and foam our mirror doesn't have the plug directly behind the cover like yours does. All we see is the wire hanging down and the plug is somewhere down in the darkness. So we tried to take off the door cover but we couldn't get past one of the wires to the power windows button. Couldn't figure out how to unplug it. So here I am now… 🙁 !!

Ricky walker says:

Finally a video where the guy takes his time and explains how to complete the job so that you can understand what is going on. Thank you

Don Valentine says:

I have a 2007 silverado–everything is good except the wire connection is back under the door panel–how do I get to it?

jake czekanski says:

Thanks! Looks like an easier job than I thought it was gonna be!

So I have a 2016 chevy Silverado, and I got some newer mirrors, my question:

Do I have to remove the door panels to remove, and replace the mirror?

(I got some aftermarket ones that are compatible with my truck, features and all, and it comes with everything needed the install, the long screws, the electrical wire, etc.

Gr8Gait says:

Aren't you adorable, Thanks!

Tristan Williams says:

Would this work on a 2008?

Jesus Marquez says:

When I removed my mirror it doesn’t have the clip to disconnect from the door panel to mirror it just has the wire from the door going into the mirror what do I do
