sender for gauge ? or ecm
99s op, all original and have non of these problem lol.
My oil pressure is “stuck high” and reporting 142psi. I hope and assume it’s just the sending unit. Gonna replace soon.
What if it flickers what’s that mean
So when I turn left it oil sensor turns off… it’s the pressure sensor? But there is also slight oil leakage. Is it the seal or sensor? Too many things to go through for me to finally fix it. It’s been forever fixing this.
You forgot bearings
Filter screen under oil pressure sensor is another problem
It’s a Chevy thing, you wouldn’t understand!!
Replaced oil pressure sensor and pressure still sits at 20psi at low rpm’s or idle, pressure sensor?
You anything about lb7’s 2004 to be exact
My 6.0 goes passed 80 psi and when turned off it goes a little passed 80. What could be the issue?
What do you consider low oil pressure? because my 2005 Chevy Silverado. 6.0l Is running around 28 PSI.
There was a problem with
mainly, early 6.0s. They bypass plug would stick open. When you started the engine it would have near zero pressure until you revved the engine. It wasn't enough to have a recall, but enough that they sent out a bulletin. I replaced some because of it.
Just did my oil pressure sensor. Took me about 30 mins not too bad but it’s nice to have some extra light and a phone to record to see what your dealing with connector wise and where it’s gonna have to come off to unclip it.
Mine is out as we speak, good video!! Quick, to the point and alot of info
6.0 version?
I got a 5.3 flex fuel gen3 vortec reading at 80 tryinh to figure out what causing it
My son’s 09, 5.3 just had the sensor fail. Went to 80, then to zero. Engine has no noise and runs well. Time to change the sensor and screen. I have seen you can do this with the proper tools without removing the intake manifold.
Every single one except for the CPU, I have replaced everything but that and like I told you before, I have changed the fuel pump and sender unit so many times that I have hinged doors over the fuel tank in the bed.
I have an 05 Chevy Silverado LS 1500 5.3. I've had to replace the oil pressure sending unit twice within the last year. I got an OEM GM/AC DELCO part from the local parts store. The gauge reads 80. There's plenty of oil in the engine. Can you tell me why it keeps going bad?
So, my 2006 5.3 starts off with no ticking but if it idles very long it starts and gets louder and louder. Take it for a drive and it'll stop until it sets idling again. Any ideas?
Exactly what I have, low pressure when cold. Is there a better O ring for the pick up that can be gotten?
Dropping the pan or even replacing the pump ain’t too bad. Just gotta rent a puller
