I turn the heater control to hot when filling the cooling system then wait
till it’s cooled down and re-check.

What brand of exhaust do you have? Sounds good!

ghtowagon says:

Yea lisle makes one that clips onto the rad. I used to use them alot on
Toyota’s. I should buy one.

Dag Nabbit I’m all confused!

kerobinsonii says:

My bad ! Leak on !

ghtowagon says:

I used to run the heat when I filled the system when I lived in the old
country. Now in the tropics I never turn on the heat! This thing had a flow
restriction inline built into the intake manifolds cheap magnesium plastic
fitting that I deleted and screwed in a threaded barb instead. I think
since its FULL FLOW to the heatercore I get more air in the system. I Can
add a cheapy plastic restrictor back but its one more piece to blow, It
would be neat to make one out of brass

kerobinsonii says:

Yea ! No more leaky pan !

ghtowagon says:

DON’T JINX IT!

ZIGgassedUP says:

some times I get a funnel that fits in the radiator filler neck and fill it
too….You won’t get the spurt when the thermo opens and you won’t need to
pump the top hose…But that’s what I do…you can try it if you
like..hehe…Jokes bro….It works.

ghtowagon says:

NO! that’s no good either.
