Your customer could always to pick up a transfer case from a junk yard for a few dollars & have it rebuilt & installed probably less than $1000.00.

Sid Luscious says:

Scotty that chevy is a straight 5 cylinder

Trenten Belka says:

Mohammad Ziab says:

Iam from middle east and i want to tell this car show hoe USA were made real reaiplity motors. Love it

Mike Trull Amsoil dealer says:

Scotty I paid $2,800 for a 2003 GMC Envoy XL a few years ago. This one was the extended body with the third row seating. That straight six engine was smooth as was the transmission. It only had about 140k. Had to replace the thermostat which was no easy task on that engine, but it was worth it. I had to put a radiator in it because the plastic part cracked and I had flush the coolant the power steering the transmission and change the oil all using the best Amsoil synthetic. Oh I also did the differential because the 2003's actually came with a drain plug on the differential. I even sent my PCM out to a company in North Carolina called PCM of NC they specialize in tuning GM vehicles. They got rid of a slight stumbling just off idle, also improved the throttle response and Power and tighten up the transmission so that the shifts were just a little bit firmer. The only other thing I needed to do was change the rear blower motor resistor so that the rear AC would work again. Never got around to doing that as it got rear-ended and totaled :-(. I bet Salvage was happy to get that engine and transmission. Still makes me sad cuz it was running like a top.

C Wilson says:

Is that Trailblazer SUV still for sale?

x -man says:

So the other car that the tires come from just needed an alignment and those tires would be good ?

Marc Foley says:

I had a 2006 Chevy blazer from new and the transfer case went at 22000km then the transmission at 27000km all under warranty rolling piles of crap

Nigel Clark says:

Good video
My first car was a morris 8
4 cyl about 18 bhp.
40 MLS per hr with a tail wind.
It was a 6 volt system headlights were like to candles lucky if you could see 5 yards in front of you, about a cars length.
Later on l converted it to a 12 volt system.
I had the car for 8 yrs.
You have to keep decoking the engine otherwise you were as fast as a snail.
If the weather was severe down to minus 10 in England if it wouldn't start l would take out the plugs put them in the oven for 10 mins then cloves on hands put plugs in as it usually started.
That was when it was the 6 volt system.
Nearly always started in the cold weather with the it converted to 12 volts.
That is a bit of my life on wheels.

Jason Domina says:

Why am I watching a video about somebody's POS? People need to have some more self respect something breaks on your vehicle fix it don't "drive it like that."

Ronald Bolden says:

I really need to seek your expertise about a 03 Chevy Trailblazer 4×4…. The previous owners were rough on it… Honestly I love my truck but I really need to seek someone that's not trying to take me for a ride again…

P I says:

My father had the Buick version. The Buick Rainer. Transmission’s in the Trailblazer/Rainer/Envoy are junk. Google the transmission 4L60E. Multiple issues with the transmissions.
Cheap Chinese metal rust out every couple of years. The rims never seal right.

Robert Lenard says:

Love these suvs always have but the ss 6.0 v8 is crazy amazing

joshua cotterman says:

Is there a difference between 2008 trailblazer and GMC envoy they look identical

Appgroda 2000 says:

I think of changing my volvo s60 2002 to a volvo xc70 2008 and I think I might need the awd because here in sweden the roads get nasty cold real fast and snow is a big probleme this time a year.

Danny Devito says:

There is NOT much aftermarket for a trailblazer. The engine can hardly be modified without any fab. Also, the suspension components are very low quality. Ask any trailblazer platform owner, it never drives perfect and they always have suspension issues. But the engine was nice and the transmission is okay in the straight 6 because it doesn’t wear it out like the v8 versions do. All in all, I would of kept it if it weren’t for mine was a ex cons home and full of pot smoke at 217k. But recommend to the people! Make sure you have money for suspension. And the tires on trailblazers always wear wrong! Even name brands right to the wire on the inside of the wheel well. I always choose coopers.

Edit: I don’t recommend going for aftermarket rims! Anyone on the forums WILL tell you how bad the control arms and bearings.

Ross Clayton says:

Yep, happy trailblazer owner here too! I have an 07 LS with the 4.2 i6 as well! Mine only has 92k miles. I plan on keeping it for at least 5 more years.

David Pick says:

I never really thought of the GM 4200 inline 6. But I appreciate Scotty disclaiming when bashing cheap made in china tires that it depends what you want.

The cheap made in saipan tires I bought from Walmart for my friend's hooptie 98 olds regency are still running fine 2 years later. And were allot safer than the horribly dry rotted tires that were on it before replacement.

J TheB says:

We have a 06 trailblazer as a work vehicle pulls a trailer constantly. Had it since 50k now has 276k still puring.

CorpsePenis says:

They're great trucks and the i6 is a very strong and reliable motor. I picked up my LT EXT for 2300 with only 90k miles on it, but being in the rust belt is its only downfall. I'm currently replacing the transmission because the transmission line rotted out and pissed out all its fluid while on the highway, completely toasting the trans.
