Just a heads up for those with a v6. There is an extra step to removing the
old shifter, there are centering springs that are needed to be either
removed or sprea apart to drop the old shifter down. And hurst doesn’t tell
you how to do it. I called hurst about it and they never called me back.
Apparently if you stretch the dust boot towards the front or back of the
car you can see the bolts that hold these paper clip like springs in. Also,
you apparently don’t need them for the new shifter.

i got the same setup in my 2k z but i just installed the Lou short stick in
place of the hurst shifter handle and it is SWEEEEET! Both products are
nice and a must have!
no, just stop being a pussy and go buy the V8 so you can gain back your
dignity and then the world will be alot easier

@NormNormal With two people I installed it in about an hour and a half.
Mainly because of raising the car, taking out the old shifter, and getting
the new one to fit properly.
