Did you not have to relearn the throttle body? I been wanting to take mine off of my 2011 Silverado 5.3 to clean it because recently the idle in park has been a little rough like drops below 500rpm but I read if I take it off I need programmer to relearn it or else the rpm will be way too high or low
Do you suppose to unhook the hot wire on the battery before you start??
When you replace a brand new throttle. ody, dont need to relearn the position sensor?
If there is oil on the end of that PCV hose does the mean it the PCV valve cover needs replacing?

GM IDLE RE-LEARN PROCEDURE
Perform the following relearn procedure for the on-board computer to adjust to the new idle position on the electronic throttle body.
1. Start and run the engine in PARK for 3 minutes.
2. Turn the engine OFF for a minimum of 60 seconds.
3. Start the engine and run for another 3 minutes.
4. Engine should idle normally after 3 minutes.
After having performed the relearn procedure and the engine still does not run within normal idle speed, it will be necessary to drive the vehicle above 45 mph (70 Km/h) including several decelerations. Also ensure that after driving the vehicle, let the engine idle for a minimum of 5 minutes.
If the engine has returned to normal idle speed, the relearn procedure is completed.
If the idle speed is still erratic or incorrect, restart idle relearn procedure.
You forgot to tell people to disconnect the battery before you start doing the job
53 inch pounds felt way too low. I did some research and found this should be 89 inch pounds.

I need to replace my throttle body on my hybrid. Is it different ?
Question replaced throttle body but limp mode and chexk engine comes back… I have to unplug n plug back the connector to the throttle body then works ok… problem has happened 3 times randomly in the past month.. can the new throttle body be bad or is it the electrical connector? Any one has had this problem after replacing the throttle body
