I painted over the old metal so now I can’t see where it was before. I installed it but now the tailgate can be pulled open. Can this be due to the placement of the bolt or is the the latches. If it’s the bolt how do I center it correctly?
Go clean that rust over there and apply some base coat at least to prevent it from spreading…too bad, you should recommend to your client to do that once you took the tailgate out!
Umm… NOT the same shape… What's with the reduced radius where the striker latch makes contact? I would think the additional clearance would give the gate room to move and rattle.
