I have a 2011 Malibu and I just bought rotors and pads online but after purchasing them it shows they fit 2013and up but I notice the only difference is that Torx screw If they are the same size it should fit regardless right?
You forgot to show people that the bracket should be cleaned. Also, you should have checked to see if the calipers pins needed to be greased!! This is probably why your pads wore more on one side than the other!
Hi where can i order a T30 screw can’t seem to find one locally thanks and is it ok to drive the car without the T30 for a few days until i find the screw
@DIY With Michael Borders I have a question. I'm not planning on changing the rotors but do I still have to use the brake spray? Part of me say yes and other part is unsure.
This only applies to 2012- 2016 limited. The 2016 model year saw the first year of the new body style. I can’t find a video about that. It very well might be exactly the same. My 16 new body style doesn’t have the electric switch for the e break. I doubt the bolt sizes are identical. Don’t forget Thread anti seize.
Do you think I can change it myself or do I need man power to get those screws off? Looking at your video makes it look so easy. I want to try so bad…hmmm
Awesome video. First time ever I replaced my rotors and pads. All thanks to you.
Spot on video. Couldn’t be more user friendly. Appreciate it as a shop would charge about $180 more then what I spent
I like how yall post a good comment but have to run some dumb opinion behind it…
I never seen no one take off the cap under the good.. that’s something different lol.. is that only for Malibu’s?

You really should remove the slide pins and clean them and put fresh brake grease on them!
Appreciate the video!! Taught me so much thank you
I want to change my break pads with the c clamp you mention don’t touch the rubber. So do we push it back but leave a tiny portion out ?
Great video. Help me on my 2017 Malibu! Much appreciated
Thanks for doing these video's. Gave me the confidence at 68 to tackle the job myself.
