Thanks for this video. I believe it's the same on a 2013 Chevy sonic LT. The positioning of the thermostat is different from other sonic models from the other videos I've seen on here.
Man your video saved my life!
Thanks bro!!!
Hi there! Just had this problem start yesterday and got REALLY bad today. 2 things:
1. Did you have any electrical issues because of this?
2. Has this officially fixed the problem/leak you were having before?
So I drain coolant before this ?
Hello sir i got one more question..In my 2011 cruze i have to replace the water pump and idont know what is the specific torque to tighten the bolts..Thank in advance..
Hello sir! So once you finished it do you have to like flush the coolant and put a new 1??
Thank you bro same exact problem on mine. it wasn't so bad at first but I had to wait for the part to ship over which took enough time for it to get as bad as your car was. I still see the line of coolant in the street from it
This could not have been a better step by step replacement assembly video. You saved me from going to the dealership! Thank you so much for this
Dude you totally Rock!!! I used your video to guide me through changing my 2015 Chevy Cruze Thermostat – don't pay any attention to any negative comments you may have had or will get.
arggg the one thing I really wanted you to show was how to use pliers to remove the clamp. Or putting it back on. Probably because it is too big of a pain in the rear.
First, the original GM part has been redesigned and is better than the original. I had an original fail at 51,000 miles, I replaced it with an Autozone Duralast one, it failed at 88,000 miles (no leaks, it failed internally, CEL code showed engine took too long to warm up), I replaced it with a new A/C Delco, which was different from the original. However, I am thinking this car, a 2013 Sonic, is going to be a thermostat eater no matter what brand you use.
6 people could not follow directions and failed miserably.
Thank you very useful video about to go through this from my 2014 Holden (Australia) 1.6l Cruze
Look easy ! Good Job
Question do I need to drain the coolant before replacement ?
I have been trying to find the second coolant temp sensor that is located on the radiator, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, are there any recommendations you can give me?
Thanks for updating this video!!!
