Thanks for this video. I believe it's the same on a 2013 Chevy sonic LT. The positioning of the thermostat is different from other sonic models from the other videos I've seen on here.

Hi there! Just had this problem start yesterday and got REALLY bad today. 2 things:
1. Did you have any electrical issues because of this?
2. Has this officially fixed the problem/leak you were having before?

Hello sir! So once you finished it do you have to like flush the coolant and put a new 1??

XxXxDominator says:

Thank you bro same exact problem on mine. it wasn't so bad at first but I had to wait for the part to ship over which took enough time for it to get as bad as your car was. I still see the line of coolant in the street from it

Dude you totally Rock!!! I used your video to guide me through changing my 2015 Chevy Cruze Thermostat – don't pay any attention to any negative comments you may have had or will get.

David Siebert says:

arggg the one thing I really wanted you to show was how to use pliers to remove the clamp. Or putting it back on. Probably because it is too big of a pain in the rear.

Curtis Sherwood says:

First, the original GM part has been redesigned and is better than the original. I had an original fail at 51,000 miles, I replaced it with an Autozone Duralast one, it failed at 88,000 miles (no leaks, it failed internally, CEL code showed engine took too long to warm up), I replaced it with a new A/C Delco, which was different from the original. However, I am thinking this car, a 2013 Sonic, is going to be a thermostat eater no matter what brand you use.

I have been trying to find the second coolant temp sensor that is located on the radiator, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, are there any recommendations you can give me?
