Don't bother replacing the switch. Remove it and pull it apart. It is really the most simple switch you will ever see. Clean up the contacts with some sand paper and good as new.

How do u remove the acutal brake pedal?
My switch was on upside down. Clip was on bottom. I was loosing my mind trying to figure out why the new one wouldn't go on. Also, I couldn't shift out of park.. thanks
My 2000 GMC sonoma brake lights won't work, but my 3rd brake light and signals work just fine. I wonder if the switch is bad even if the 3rd brake light is working? Any suggestions. Thanks
