I used this video to assist me and their is one more bolt with the thumb screw on the driver side and yes it broke because I was unaware of it

Your local auto parts store should be able to look them up for you, or if you take the bule out it will have a part number on it.

The issue you are experiencing might be more than just a speaker one. You could have an issue with the stereo itself. If you have an aftermarket radio and not the correct wiring harness, it will cause the issues you are experiencing.
Do y’all have videos of how to change a door speaker on a cobalt? it docent seem to make sounds when i put the turning light or emergency lights and maybe thats why it docent make those sounds…also the door speakers don’t work and i want to know how to change em and what size speakers it needs. thanks
