How can U by-pass it because all my windows work, but the drivers side
doesn’t want to go up ?
is there anyway to fix the switch just to get the window up without having
to get a new one ?
Thanks for the video. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this. I
have a 2000 impala. The drivers side window will not go up. The other
windows work fine. Do you think my problem is with the switch or the motor
on the drivers side window. Thank you again!
@ne5cko HI, Right now we do not carry those switches for your vehicle.
Thank you for visiting our YouTube channel.
It may be a bad switch. Test the power going from the switch to the motor
to see if the motor’s getting power.
@toddkitta Thank you for watching. We try to keep thing simple for the DIY
customer.
@xtralargejustblaze If the switch is the issue you would need to by-pass it
somehow to get power to the window motor to make it go up.
which fuse box left or right
If there’s more than one, you may want to check in both places.
Thanks for the video for us clueless car repairers. 🙂
@ 1aauto do i need to replace a fuse for the controls on the steering wheel
only the mute work and the side mirrors controls dont work? any idea
Do you sale the switches to adjust the side rear view mirrors?
ok thanks!
Hi Luis, You may want to take the door panel off and see if the window
regulator has broke causing the window not to go up. It could also be a
window motor that may be going bad. Hope this helps you out.
Thanks for uploading this it really helped me.
ok will do thanks
Thank you guys for posting these videos, I am not the best mechanic by any
means; but these videos are super helpful!! Thank you!
2000 impala – Driver window does not go up or down. No sound coming from
motor when I press either button. Tested the wires on the switch and
strangely both wires get a connection when I push down. Instead of one when
I push up and the other wire when I push down. Also, the when I push up on
the driver window switch, it does not click like all the others do. So is
this the switch or motor?
You may want to inspect all of the fuses to see if any of them are broke.
