1A Auto Parts says:

@aylichka yes that is correct.

1A Auto Parts says:

The rear doors may be fairly similar.

stlmill1 says:

Great video, any help on how to open the door to perform this feat? Had the
car broken into and they ruined the lock. Now the door won’t open at all.

BOOGRUSTA says:

will this work on a 96 chevy caprice?

liltlemaster says:

@1aauto thats cool, but i was wondering how much will it cost me? i took it
to workshop but the guy didnt said anything about the price

1A Auto Parts says:

You’re 96 may be different. On most door handles you still need to go
through the same motions to remove them such as taking off the door panel
so that you can access the bolts from the inside of the door. We carry new
exterior door handles for your 1996 Chevy Caprice on our website 1aauto.com

excellent detail of instruction, very helpful

1A Auto Parts says:

@liltlemaster We currently do not have an auto repair video for this
particular vehicle. We’ll keep this in mind in the event that we are doing
this repair in the future.

1A Auto Parts says:

This video covers the front door. On the REAR door of these cars you may
need to remove the torx screws in the door jamb area of the door that hold
the lock mechanism. This allows you to move the lock mechanism around to
free the rod between the handle and lock mechanism.

CameronBowmanMusic says:

Is the process much different for one of the rear door handles?

6joenc says:

Great video! I’m replacing the left front door lock actuator on 2001 Impala
LS 3.8. The replacement part only has 2 elec connectors but he old has 3.
3rd won’t detach from assy to transfer. This 3rd conn has a yellow plactic
rod out the other end that connects to a pivot where the door key lock rod
is attached. The yellow rod has a leaf spring and pulls out. Do I need this
3rd connector part? NAPA guy says all the parts look the same. Dealer not
open on weekend for consult

1A Auto Parts says:

@aylichka Yes that is correct. Remember to visit 1A Auto dot com next time
you need parts or information for your Chevrolet Impala. thank you.
