im so greatful i found this video! i have had a problem with my exterior
door handle for months. im capable of following these steps and installing
a new door handle, except im not sure i need one. my door handle is still
intact, and when it stopped working, i heard the rod drop inside the door.
so im not sure if i need a new blue clip or not. any suggestions would be
helpful. also, how much would a new door handle run from you guys?
@sadieyegads Thank you for viewing our videos. We currently do not have a
video that shows a 95. However most of the rods attach with a little
plastic locking tab, as this one does. Hope this helps.

@sadieyegads – The plastic clip on a 91-96 corsica is a little bit
different it is a little black clasp that prys open to release the rod,
instead of turning the plastic peice. We just used a flat head to pop the
clasp open and release the rod about an hour ago. If it’s rusted like ours
was, you may want to spray some lubricant on it first. Hope this helps! 🙂
I have a 91 chevy lumina euro and my door handle is on the side of the door
next to the window not on the middle under the window any ideas on how to
fix it?
@gmuscro The rod may have just come unclipped from the handle. You might
just be able to clip it back on, if not your local dealer should be able to
get a replacement clip for you. Hope this helps you out.

it isn’t my model.
This is really helpful! I’m changing the door handle on my ’95 Corsica, and
it’s very similar (although, unfortunately, access is a lot more
difficult). I was wondering, though– the rod that attaches to the door
handle has a different (and more complicated) kind of spring clip, and I
can’t figure out how it opens. The Chilton Guide is no help. Do you have
any ideas on where I can figure out how to open it? Is there a guide to
different kinds of spring clips or anything? Thanks in advance!
