You may want to check the Freon level to see if it’s at it’s proper level, if that checks out fine you may also want to check the high and low switch to see if they are working correctly. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

You may want to check for any holes in the firewall that should be closed. If you haven’t you may want to check the exhaust manifold(s) coming off of the engine for a leak or crack. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Great video. I used the rear blower motor replacement as well.
Also the fan regulator switch.
I have a question for you. Raw fuel smell in the cabin.
2002 Tahoe, 4.8L.
No obvious leaks at engine block, fuel pressure switch or fuel filter.
Strong smell at idle, or highway speeds.

Not sure, you could remove it and see if there’s any debris caught up in the cage or you could also try to put a little white lithium grease on the blower motor shaft to see if that quiets it down. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I replaced the cabin air filter in my 2000 silverado and your video helped alot. Is there any reason the fan sounds alot louder than usual when its on higher settings?

No. Only 99-02 factory GMT-900s had the in cabin filter.

I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe Z71 (legacy body style) and my heating/air conditioning system looks NOTHING like your video. The blower motor is mounted 90 degrees laterally to the orientation on the vehicle in your video. Can you tell me if it has a filter and if so where it is located?
I’m not sure what that might be molded into. You may want to look for bolts or anything that could hold it in place. Hope this helps you out.

Will this work for 2003 sierra 1500 hd?
The issue could be several things. It could be from an actuator or it could be from one of the doors or even from the blower motor being off balance and hitting the side of the housing.

Wouldn’t it have been something if GM had designed the cover in two pieces, and made the one over the filter removable with thumb screws! Then anyone could and would change the filter more often…

I have gone crazy looking for the cabin air filter on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe? Does it even have one? Everytime I turn the AC on it smells like dust in my SUV and I’ve already replaced the air filter under the hood. May anybody please help?

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to replace these. If you have a Haynes or a Chiltons manual for the vehicle, it should show you how to service these filters.
nice video, i have a 2003 cadillac seville and it has somewhat of a similar setup but instead has 3 small filters that inter-lock, any advice on replacing those?
If your vehicle requires two, it should come with both of them.
