Could it just be frozen? I can’t do this
Ok, so i get that by replacing blower moter this might fix problem with NO
HEAT but my question is that i have replaced my fuse because the old one
was burnt out well now the only way my heat works is if i am pulling on
cords attached to moter? how would i fix this problem moter works fine when
i pull on the cords but as soon as i let go it goes off :/

You may want to have a qualified AC technician fill the system and also
check it for you. To properly charge or fill the AC system, they will take
the current outside air temp and charge the system accordingly so that the
coolness of the air going into the cab of the vehicle is sufficient. They
can also test for leaks, and replace any O-rings if they need to. Hope this

Hello Auto, I have a 02 Malibu. The 2 vents in the middle of the dash work
really well on settings 1-5. However the 2 vents on the sides of the
vehicle do not work very well. The setting for 3 for the middle vents, feel
like a 1 setting for the side vents. What could be the problem for the lack
of air, i presume. Thanks!
We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to replace
the heatercore in your 03 Chevy Malibu. The exhaust gasket might need to be
replaced or you may just be able to tighten up on that bolt a little more

On my malibu my 1 and 2 setting does not work the only ones that work are 3
through 5 which my one friend suggest that it is more likely the a.c heater
blower motor resistor. since this is the cheapest routes versus the motor
or the more expensive panel I would try to replace just the resistor where
is this resistor located on a 97-03 chevy malibu . thank you for your time.

I have an 2002 malibu 3.1 just replaced head gaskets now that im running
the ac the vent is stuck i read something about a thin vacuum hose running
across the top of the engine from the front left side to the rear and that
Over time it becomes brittle and cracks therefore leaving your vents stuck
in it’s last positon.Thinking maybe we disconnected it.. but when i looked
under my hood i cant locate the hose. Would you happen to know where in
detail is it located>?
To begin to solve the issue, the blower motor should be located under the
dash on the passenger side (this video will show you where it is). Test the
wires going to it to see if there’s power going to the blower motor. If
there is power to it, then the blower motor could be bad. If there is no
power to the blower motor, check for a loose connection, or a bad fuse.

out in 5 min
i know this is a little off topic but i tried to refill my a/c refrigerant
in my 2000 malibu, everything is on and blowing the compressor kicks on and
also double check to make sure the hose is on the low side port firmly, it
gives me a tiny ready showing i am low but when i press the trigger to
refill it goes into the red area on the can i was told by few that chevy
has a lock feature when the refrigerant gets too low and only a mechanic
can refill it is this true cause i cant find any info

Hi auto, i have chevi malibu 2001, my heater not working, due to this
sometime frosting are occuring on cooling coil. i found two pipe were
removed from radiator. how i can fix this problem. 2nd : is there 2 blower
motor? 1 for cooling and1 for heating ?
This video will be similar but it might be slightly different with the
position of the blower motor and housing along with the mounting bolts
holding it to the HVAC housing.
sumb question, but what side of the dash is this on? Passenger?
My AC/Heater will only work on setting 4 or 5 but anything lower and it
will not blow air. Will this repair fix my problem?

I am trying to do this on an ’04 Classic. When I took the OEM Blower out,
it did not have the washers on the rating bolts. That was no problem to
take care of. However, After putting everything back into place, my air
output does not change its’ deflection as set on the panel. I get a general
overall output with no special direction available. i.e. if set for
defrost, it just comes out all over with no real force behind the air.
Where do I look to correct the problem?
I have an 03 malibu and have 2 questions. first is do you have a video on
how to replace the heater core. second is I have a slight leak coming from
the back of the engine between the firewall and the exhaust manifold; would
you have any idea on what it could be. I did the head gasket job with a
friend, could it be that I didn’t torque the exhaust bolts down correctly?
or is there something else that it could be?
Usually when your lower settings go, it’s the blower motor resistor that’s
the culprit. You may want to take a look at it to see if that’s the issue.

Thank you for this video. I was able to replace my own blower motor in my
2005 Pontiac Grand Am which looks exactly the same underneath the dash and
replaced the blower resistor while I was down there.

You make want to check the blend doors to see if they are working right.

You may want to see if there’s a leak in a vacuum line somewhere that may

If blows but it’s not cold, you may want to see if the freon is up to level
in the system. If it’s low, it would cause the system to blow warm air.
