When you have the door open, you can also spray a little white lithium
grease on the door latch mechanism and that will also help to prevent it
from sticking. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I figured it out. I wanted to reply back in case this helps somebody. The
issue with my doors is that the latch mechanism became so dirty it would
not open. So I needed to clean it out with WD40. I needed to take out the
back seat through the front side passenger door. Once I got that off I was
able to remove the door panel, but not all the way. I reached back until I
found the latch mechanism and sprayed WD40 until it opened. Thanks for the
video!
You could use some duct or masking tape to hold it back in place.
i had a problem where the inside and outside door handle was very very hard
to move, its on my girlfriends impala, she said it just takes forse, now
that i have gotten the door open it wont close, im assuming i broke the
cable, do oyu have a video for this?
Does this apply to the front driver side? I have a 2007 Impala LTZ and the
door handle popped off this morning due to the door being frozen…
This would the same thing from the driver to the passenger.
Wats the cost to replace all four?
I have a 2006 Impala and both of the rear passenger doors are stuck shut. I
can’t open from the inside or outside. Is there a way to take the door
panel off without opening the doors? I’ve had my wife try to open it from
the inside while I pull from the outside and nothing seems to work to get
the door open.
When you separate the insulation from the door do you need to apply new
adhesive to put it back on? And if so what do you use?
@ghunt1819 On the door in the door jamb area there is a hook on the door
latch mechanism that flips down on to the door post when the door closes.
Check to see if you accidentally flipped that hook down. Pull the door
handle and reach in and flip the hook back up.
Worked great! Thank you very much.
Sometimes it’s tough to do, but you could try to remove the door panel
while it’s shut to see if you can reach inside of the door and pop the lock
open. hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE do one of these on a 2006 Impala where the handle is in
the back. Our door is frozen.
Very good video
How would this differ for a 2008?
There may be a differance in the way it attaches.
We sell them in a par part # 1ADHS00425 you would need two pairs. That
would take care of all four doors for you. You can also call Tony @
