Great video, I just have one question. I may have just missed it or
something, but does it matter how the cam in positioned whenever the cam
gear is put on it? does it default to the right position, does it not
matter, or do you have to line it up a certain way?
This is a hundred times easier if you put a long bolt into the end of the
cam and use it as a handle. You can do it with one hand. Take the cam gear
retaining bolt down to the hardware store to match the threads.
just a tip for you. if you will put on the timing gear onto the cam you can
use it to give you leverage to lift the cam up to install the cam on the
last 2 bearings.
Lol this actually really made me laugh haha
lol
bareback
shlack
I appreciate the video….however, everything you said is what she said!
just like my woman lol 2:10 – 2:30
is he making a porn did he just spit on on it 2:33
Hhahhaha 2:21
how much money do you have put into the motor
Really interesting!
Stick a wooden dowel rod in the end of the cam an it gives you much more
leverage to get the last bit in.
lol its actually a hub cap on a scrap car that met a poorly places blow
torch
Thanks for taking the time
200 ft lbs for a cam bolt?? Why so much torque there?
Did anyone else get a chubby watching this? lmao
JAY!!! COME BUILD MY MOTOR!:) and talk about what your doing the entire
time.
looks like sex
to make it abit easyer on the last part use a long bolt that fits the
thread in the front of the cam then you have a handle it helps
yea i love these vids on engine assembly
I can almost smell that Gear Oil
So that’s all to it?
Thank you, this was very helpful. I’m changing the cam on my 4.3 v6 vortex
soon and your video made sense of the things i was confused about.
How do I know that the car has a cam
dildo lol
Sounds like 1puglife
Was this a 3400 gm engine?
3.1 or a 3.4
For the last journal, I put the cam gear on to get the leverage to raise
the back of the cam. Doing it that way 45 years.

just always used that nasty red sticky shit for breakin.

what will the cam shaft do?
Whats better a double roller or the linkage style chain like this ?
Ahh crap I didn’t know about the timing
WHat are the benefits or what do you gain HP or what when you do this by
upgrading the chain the camshaft and the sprocket?
I was hoping you would show the trick to doing this with the case together
still. Dang, bummer
slacker her up!!!!!!!!!
what car is this motor out of?
would have went in easier if he had screwed a full thread rod in the end
and then install it. no fighting that last inch or so.
na… just you
all I hear was lube lol
Using the supply cam lube with the cam and putting a long bolt in the end
of the cam where the cam bolt goes with haave made this easier to install.
timing engines used to scare me a bit but after watching this you make it
look easy
