9:50 Chevy implemented their infotainment system in every vehicle starting in 2016, that included backup cameras. All new cars require backup cameras regardless of "class".

I know this video is old but the Cruze always leaves the reverse lights on at night when you lock it up for a few seconds. Would the back up camera activate if that happened or is that only when you actually put it into reverse?

If you don't splice the reverse camera to the reverse lights, will the reverse camera function pop up on the touchscreen when you put the car in reverse? Or does it have to be spliced for that to happen?
