Power is simple just connect it to the vehicle wiring harness like i did. I
have always done my own chassy ground all the problems i have had with car
related stuff has been resolved by a better ground lol
@ghostlyrich yah mine is the 2007 colorado without bose
i used the exact same head unit to wire my deck but i wired the ground from
the PAC harness to the ground from the stereo harness. Am i missing
something that i need to ground to the chasis?
hmmm that might be onstar are something im not sure i did not have a second
plug
So for the ground wire you spliced the 2 black wires together and then have
a 3rd black wire grounded to the truck? Just want to make sure I do mine
correctly tomorrow. I also have 3 wires from the harness not used…
Orange, orange/white, dark blue. Maybe my head unit doesn’t require them?

How do you run power to the unit? And couldn’t you just attach the ground
to the ground wire in the original harness?
Alright yes splice all blacks together and ground them. The extra wires
just cut off any exposed copper and tape the tips and tie them out of the
way. Orand is usually fo dimming and blue for power antena or other stuff
so ya shouldnt need it most important is red black yellow whites greys
greens violets. Thats your powers your ground and your speaker wires
what do you do with the second plug? there is the main gray one and another
black circuit function thing?
If you want get a ring crimp so you can ground to chasis but yet you have
it right is it same truck?
Yep so just grounded it like i did and cut the tips off the rcas ^^
