this is the most information I have been able to find on this issue for my
2002 Chevy Astro van rear hatch. Thank you for the video. The first thing
I am going to check is the fuse to make sure that it has not blown.

I used a crowbar to pry up the back hatch on my gmc safari van. :p

ten minutes and it now works wonderfully! Thank you for making and posting
this video! As Dale posted about two weeks ago, “Dude, you rock!” Thank

Thank you so much for posting this. I have a blue Astro Van with a rear
hatch that also would not unlatch on the driver’s side. I don’t have much
mechanical knowledge, but thanks to your video I was able to fix it in
about 10 minutes and it didn’t cost me a dime.

Ginger Chapman says:

to get to the actuater but you video really helped me out ..thank you

your video!

Tyvm you saved me much time I was going to just tear into it.Thanks to you
I knew what I was doing .Their good vehicles or at least mine has been
besides the rear hatch. I also learned that closing the hatch gently will
prevent it from happening again.

Thank you! I had no idea what to do. You really helped me, I am in the

rucker369 says:

On mine, I can hear a click when I lock and unlock it but when I press the
button there is no click sound so I can only assume it’s an electrical
issue. How are the fuse and the relay labeled?

Josh F says:

Yeah, one of rods had come loose. I still may need to put another plastic
clip to hold it more tightly but you save my dad money from not having to
pay someone to do this 10-minute job. Thanks.

frankster98 says:

Thank you I just bought a 95 and it has this problem

Greg Lammiman says:

Perfect fix at just the right time. Thanks.

Derek J says:

astro tailgate top door at rear)
