you said big job to change the evap well i need a how to on changing the
evap mine is bad needs to be changed. any easy way to get it out.

Nicholas Horianopoulos says:

This video was instrumental in my success today. My only addition to this
video is a note – this job is greatly speeded up by the use of an electric
impact driver. Wear rubber or nitrile gloves – there are many sharp edges
inside the dash area. I used compressed air to blow out the evaporator,
which had 22 years of leaf debris that wasn’t visible from looking into the
view afforded by the removal of the blower motor. I followed my blowout
with a low-intensity scrub with a paintbrush and some cleaner, then several
shots of water to clear out the area. My flow rate through the vents is up
probably 25% and efficiency has returned to my HVAC system.

Jeremi Stanford says:

Alright thanks. I think it does too I’m rebuilding the ac system. As the
old compressor died and the evap is bad so I’m buying everything new
starting liver on the ac so when I’m done I know it work. The heat in the
truck still works though.

So the computer only has those two plugs? It doesn’t screw into the plastic
piece underneath just held in by clips? I get nervous with messing with the
computer!

Osu Fan says:

Great video, changed my blower motor for the first time. The computer
bracket was fun to get out but thanks for the video. Its 19 F here.

Fknstud says:

What would you recommend, fixing mine or putting in a new one? Mine just
started squeaking so it doesn’t have much time left. If I should get a new
one, any suggestions as to where?
