Relay !!!!!!!!!!

Did the same thing to my 2012 Malibu lt . Very easy to do and most important not expensive either . The chrome Bezels got them from GM website and got after market fog light assembly . All together I paid about 220 . Still not wired but I also bought the harness fog light Kit . It comes with the connections , ready and fuse . You need the complete Kit so it can be done right . They are going to be wired so they turn on with the low beams .

I what wanted to do this for two years. I was always told they don’t fit or you can’t upgrade the lights. So mad now , but just traded my Equinox for 13 traverse. Thanks for the Vid……

LOPEZ7655 says:

You should also do a video showing how you connect them. Would be helpful

LOPEZ7655 says:

Good video I was actually looking for a video like this but for a 09 malibu Ls since those also don’t come with fog lights so this gave me an idea of what I have to do and the parts I need to buy.

Only thing they make aftermarket is a chrome taillight cover, which i don’t think it looks that good. Maybe better if painted same as body color. Seen people just lightly smoke em that looks good. Just wish that had cool looking LED after market tails. I think they would have looked better if the bottom big round main taillight was clear and had leds for bulbs. Similar to a 2012 LTZ Malibu.

I too have been looking at what grill insert might look good. I look on ebay sometimes just to see what some look like. I like the billet black and polished ones, also like the wire ones(kinda Caddy style) with chrome band around it. Only one i think looks weird and too much chrome is the one that is basically chromed out factory black part of grill. It looks like the Nox is wearing teeth braces lol. Otherwise the rest look pretty good.Nice 2 see em in person to make a good decision if you can

Curious are there any nice looking aftermarket tail lighta ? Those red ones are an eye sore

apenberrys says:

Great Video…very well done. Any thoughts or suggestions for a grille replacement for the 2012 Equinox? I havent had much luck sorting through the various aftermarket options that I viewed online…but apart from the fog light upgrade…a billet grille in Equinox would definitely make a huge improvement over the plastic factory model….just need someone with experience for suggestions? Thanks

Wasn’t planning on putting fog lights but did some research after watching your video. And yeah for very little it can look nicer then that rough plastic look. I’m probably gonna use a toggle switch tho. I’m still seeing what harness and wiring I need

Alfredo Tercero says:

great video!! i searched very long for the answer u easily provide! i already ordered the equipment and am looking forward to install them.. also looking forward for the wiring video

P4TRi0T5 says:

Wish you had shown how to wire them also! But they make the car look great! I have a 2009 chevy malibu Ls and they did not come with the fog lights and I’m doing the same thing

wheelsofsteel09 says:

The 2013 is the same and both 2012 bezel and bulb configuration will work.

Al Brown says:

Hi. Do you know if the 2012 equinox foglight bulb and bezel will fit on a 2013 equinox?

wheelsofsteel09 says:

Also you can reach your hand under the bumper and feel were the fog bezel attaches, There is nothing blocking it. I barely squeezed under the front of the box without having to jack up the front. Always use Jack stands, safety first !!

wheelsofsteel09 says:

Yea you can just install the bezel with no fog light, won’t hurt anything. Still will look better than ugly stock plastic insert. Instead of fogs, for a while you can just place a clean clear packing tape over a small square of black piece of flat plastic and attach to the back of bezel. So you won’t have a hole in it and it will look like a light inside. As long as it does’t look dumb. Maybe i am just rambling on here but let your imagination go wild lol

canjian says:

Will it be problem for justput bezel and leave the hole of light open ?

canjian says:

Interest in how to wire them up~~~~

wheelsofsteel09 says:

Glad it was helpful! Soon will be wiring them up, but I still have not had a need to use them or a urge to turn them on lol. Maybe in the future.

wheelsofsteel09 says:

Great to hear you were able to install them!! Thanks again!

wheelsofsteel09 says:

No you do not have have to remove any inner fender well, everything in the video and steps I listed. Hope this helps

junior88win says:

Do you have to remove the inner fender to get to that bolt for the bezel?

levimsherman says:

Really cool video!

levimsherman says:

Very nice video

wheelsofsteel09 says:

Yea maybe soon, but I still have not given a thought or a need to want to use them, once again just did it for look lol. If you want some tips on wiring these fog lights you can check out my post on a equinox forum .net website in the how to section and others have posted how to wire these up.

ryn1010 says:

For your next video, “How to wire in the fog lamps.”

wheelsofsteel09 says:

Great to hear that the video was helpful!! That was my intentions. I haven’t wired them up yet since i just did it for styling and haven’t really thought about turning them on so that kinda tells me I wont use em much lol. But when I do I will post a how to wire them up. Sounds like most people wire them up just like aftermarket ones.

esante00 says:

rmnwlf25 says:

Due to your video I took on the project. It only took me about 20 mins. Great advice on tools. Thank you.
