David Cockey says:

From the internet:
UPDATE: 4/27: GM has now responded to the claims it no longer makes Chevy Spark EV batteries, with Kevin M. Kelly, Senior Director, Chevrolet Communications, clarifying the situation in the following statement:

"Recent reports speculating that GM will no longer provide battery pack replacements for the Spark EV are incorrect. While we are currently experiencing a temporary disruption in the supply of new Spark EV packs, GM remains committed to providing replacement packs to Spark EV owners who need them in the future and will work with owners until we get the supply issues resolved."

Will Louis provide an update to his video?

Doug Vuillemot says:

Lol. You can't force people to make shit that wont last and Ecspect them to pay for all the shit they know wont last. That's the definition of stupid dont you think?

Todd Fideldy says:

Wrong. Just using a different supplier

Mikko Rantalainen says:

We would need standardized cells and BMS systems that can tell which cells are bad so that individual cells can be replaced as needed.

The sad fact is that most battery packs need balanced cells becasue BMS system cannot really balance cells and cannot cope with cells that are not identical enough.

45Seventeen says:

Better get a Tesla next time

Doug Leenheer says:

EVs are nowhere near being ready for the masses. They are a nich vehicle for the rich.

Chip says:

I though auto mfg had to support their product (parts) for seven years after production ends.

ken wicklund says:

GM will be no longer after this decade and they know it

Charles Townsend says:

My phone is 79.00. Battry is not replaceable and I will reject all phones with higher price tags. Same will go for EVs. Not doing it. Government may try but they won't break 100's of Millions who won't go the EV way either.

Charles Townsend says:

Engineered Obsolescence along with zero support will turn a manufacturer's name sour in the consumers mouth.

Mika Peltokorpi says:

They do not want to sell cars in EU?

Charles Townsend says:

I have already made that point with Tesla turning the cabin frame into a battary. Throw-away cars because you can't replace them. Why would anyone spend that kind of money that can't be resold?

Preston Morton says:

The epitome of a throw away society is waste

Charles Townsend says:

Trying to create throw-away cars at high prices won't fly with most Americans.

Danny Boy says:

They also wont do anything about the shity CP4 pump that's known for failing in 2011-2016 vehicles. Its a $10,000 fix and chevy doesn't cover it. There was a classaction law suit that started in 2018 but I haven't heard shit since.

Frankie Teo says:

Dude, you know people can go to Electrified Garage and get Rich to sort out a battery replacement. Right?.

Boosted Twin Cams says:

My Step father purchased a new Prius when they first came out. Toyota took care of him well past 10 years, for EVERYTHING. My ex girlfriend, her brother in law retired from G.M. as a Warranty Engineer ?, I know right WTF is that ! His pension is almost $80,000 a frigging year. I never ever feel bad about driving a Toyota. And yes I'm a Engineer and my motorcycles are made in U.S.A.
