the heater seems to be pulling air in from the outside..should it do this.
I had great heat before hand..

ploblems.

Tory Heal says:

dude the blending drawer is whats connect to the cable which in turn is
wired to the third nob on the dash. (you even grab it in the video. How did
you change the vents from blowing cold air to blowing hot.

86 toyota.. the one off of back to the future? LOL hey JRESHOW I have the
same car as you. well it’s the chevy monte carlo 1998!! cheers from Canada

ahoorakia says:

it is not heater resistor ,it is called fan resistor, when they go bad you
always have high speed of fan,but not the slower speed, that is job of
resistor,

Graham Hart says:

I found this to be the solution to the heater problem in my own 97 Lumina!!
I had read the manual and ran this exact procedure about two days ago and
found that indeed my heater/cooling system are operating on such a higher
level than before! I am still not convinced that my water pump is not the
issue, but only time will tell! Nice video dude….

JRESHOW . says:

@pablo suprano I love Toyotas. My favorite car actually. 86 Toyota pick up
was my favorite. I have a 99 Lexus es 300 now… basically a Toyota.

JRESHOW . says:

@tory heal can you replace the control piece. I don’t know what a blending
drawer is …

Rob Behler says:

nice video! very informative, I’ll have to try it on my friend’s Lumina
with a no heat issue

Dan Williams says:

Shouldn’t you be using DEXCOOL instead of regular green anti-freeze? Should
be orange colored, not green.

bluesharp59 says:

I am a mechanic . Great video to inform your viewers ! You can not heat
with air bubbles . And a lot of people don’t know that . You save somebody
a mechanic bill at the shop thank you . Have a great weekend .

pablo suprano says:

Get your self a Toyota.

ahoorakia says:

i just hope you completely, drain the and flushed the orange color dex cool
from factory or you will mix the green color anti freeze, with Dex cool
,which in long run create sludge and you will have no heat issue ,plugged
up radiator and more

JRESHOW . says:

@tony heal I replaced the blending drawer itself (10 bucks at junk yard)
but that wasn’t the issue. It was bleeding the cooling system: that was the
problem the whole time! :/

Tory Heal says:

How did you get the blending drawer to change from cold to hot. my cable
broke and I can’t figure it out. Thanks in advance.

christopher popovich says:

learn alot after when you fix everything on the heating system, lol, how
much did all that cost to fix

Tory Heal says:

Yeah its bled properly. my issue is getting the drawer to switch from cool
to hot.
