This is great!

josh Varela says:

I don't know if you read these comments, but I wanted to say thank you. You helped me a lot

Smugglesthecat says:

MY GUY! Same thing happened to my 2011 cruze today. 2011 is the least reliable btw. The belt was low key tearing and I didnt notice until the engine was overheating. It was smoking a bit so hopefuly a belt change is all it needs. There should be a class action lawsuit against the cruze though lmao

Abby Kaye says:

They wanted 200. I only paid 16 for the belt. Thanks man

BadAss454LSX says:

Great video, but please tell me that you realize that all the fasteners on this car are metric … i know the SAE sizes fit, but they are metric fasteners …

Jean Hector says:

Bro what is the little hose good for? Mine is missing

Troy Brothers says:

No torque values ?

Joseph Buzzetta says:

It's a lot easier if you remove the front splash guard to change the serpentine belt. Propping the engine up via oil pan
and removing motor mount is unnecessary.
GM service reps remove the front splash guard to change the belt!

Keith Marlowe says:

Thanks for the video. I almost gave up but figured no guts no glory. I already had that side on a jack stand for draining the oil, so it wasn't much to get trolley jack with 2X4 under the oil pan. I thought I would be clever and not take off the second part of bracket. That one must come off too.
Like others, I discovered my bolts are 15mm. I used a 7/16 impact socket on the tensioner.

Janet Renteria says:

Thanks so much easy

I'm Me says:

What was the need for two jacks? Just curious

Melissa York says:

What should the tensioner spring look.

Richard says:

Very great showing..very helpful..

Jason Patrick says:

Thank you for this vid.. Awesome.

sean borshard says:

Ty for the video. I could not find where you said torque spec for mounting fasteners. 45 ft lbs to engine, 36ft lbs + 60° mount to mount, 47 ft lbs mount to car hardware.

Really appreciate your video and will make my morning easier <3

Cruz says:

Is this the same with the 2016 Limited LT?

Abel Saenz says:

Mucho trabajo eso.
Solo se necesita remover los 3 tornillos de soporte aflojar el motor y listo

Kzar__ says:

Probably won't get an answer to this but do the bolts need torquing? If they do does anyone know what it needs torqued to?

Clerance Elva says:

Would a bad serpentine belt tensioner cause a rattling noise? I’ve replaced the timing belt and timing belt tensioner, now I’m getting a rattling noise

Ramat-Nirval Malindo We says:

motor mount torque specs ?

Jett Sett says:

$200!!!!? My stepdaughter just went to get a quote told her she has oil on the mass air flow sensor, low oil and the belt needs to be tightened not replaced told her tighten. $1500!

Jo el says:

About how thick does the block of wood have to be?

Daniel Sanchez says:

Great video presentation! Made it really easy to do it myself today. I also wanted to add the Torque Values for the bolts removed:
Install the 3 engine mount bracket bolts (horizontal position) and tighten to  60 Nm (45 lb ft) + 45–60°
Tighten the 2 engine mount to body bolts (2) and the engine mount nut (1) to  62 Nm (46 lb ft).
Tighten the 3 engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts (3) to  50 Nm (37 lb ft) + 60–70°.

Alex Rivet says:

Thank you. My 2013 with 140k on it now is starting to make the belt chirp noise. Figure it's time to tackle this. Your video speed and explanation is perfect.
