I have an 04 cavalier and every time I stop my car starts bucking and then
dies…and when I’m driving it wont rev properly, like it feels like it
wont work. Is this what I need to change? I went online and it said
something about this..

I have a 2000 Chevy cavalier and oil is coming from the air box hose…What
is the hose called….I was calling it pcv valve cover hose….when I start
my car when it gets hot that’s when you see smoke

Hey Mike, great video.
It almos looks like I myself could do It, you make it look eazy. Anyway
what would you charge someone for doing this.. I called a auto repair close
to me and they gave me a ball park figure of $1,000,00 is the right?

Nice vid, man! I think I may need this same fix. With your accent I half
expected you to say, “Okay, what I’m gonna do next is crack ya friggin
skull”, lol.

Knight31684 says:

The piece at 2:44 I accidentley pulled out of the cover.

I changed the MAP sensor in the the same kind of car, cleaned the oil out
of intake box, trottle body, and part of the snorkel, when I replaced
everything I am getting a purging sound from the vacuum line on the top of
the valve and/or around the 3-4 plugs but there is not a flame jumping and
they are torque specs

Mike Roman says:

Hey i got a question my spark plugs are covered with oily soot when i
changed them today and the head is leaks once and a while. Do i need to
replase the head gasket??? And do i have to get it sanded to the right
inch??? Thanks

Michael Thornberry says:

@LCRAT3R Glad my video helped your project along. As far as the dip stick
tube leak is concerned I have never done one on a cavalier, but there must
be some sort of gasket or o-ring. Check to see how it is mounted to the
engine. I would guess that there is a bolt or two securing it to the block,
if there is remove them and the tube and replace gasket. Not much, but hope
it helps.

Luigi Marxiano says:

thanks for the upload,I need to change this gasket on my cav, did you apply
any silicon or sealant to the gasket?

Luigi Marxiano says:

sorry didn’t mention what oil dipstick tube was I talking about, it is the
engine oil dipstick tube seal

Bobby Saunders says:

Very helpful

Michael Thornberry says:

Thanks, more video’s to follow.

Luigi Marxiano says:

Well I did the valve cover gasket replacement on my cav and all went pretty
good, had no problems thanks to your video,so thanks again for the upload, I
was checking for leaks, and I found that I have another oil leak, it seems
that the leak is comming from the oil dipstick tube seal, just right there
where the tube joins the engine, have you done this dipstick tube seal
replacement before? how can I stop this leak? I will appreciate any help
thanks

Michael Thornberry says:

@LCRAT3R Your welcome. No silicone or sealant needed, but I did apply some
engine oil to the gasket. The gasket I used was made from some type of
rubber. Good luck!!

barrellunited says:

Knight31684 says:
