wow I just assumed you go through the like on older chevys that's good to know
I'd sharpie the tape with the edges of the original emblem
what is the attachment on the drill?
How much do you charge
For the front bowtie can't you just remove the grille and remove the bowtie that way? But great video!
That part must have been $5,000.00 on a $50,000 Truck
Darren, I am trying to install the same bowtie as the one in the video. I went under my truck and i could not find the backdoor. Where exactly is it?
wa la ???? try voila.
Where are you located?
you can always just vinyl it any color you want.
How much do u charge for the rear bow tie delete? I can drive to you. I live in Long Beach, Ca.
Would this be the same process for the 2015 GMC front emblem as well
Are the steps the same for a 2008 Silverado as well?
was tht a buffing wheel you used to remove tape?
I don't mind the video, but dude, you are bat shit nuts.
What did this cost?
sub! great job.
Oh and did it in under 10 minutes.
Thanks again for another awesome "how to video". Even though you weren't able to show how you did it, the fact that you were able to gave me hope. And I was able to release it by coming up from the bottom and slowly pulling it out the rest of the way with my figures without one scratch or dent.
All I did for mine was drill a small hole in the emblem itself about a 1/8 of an inch in and pull it straight out. Took 3 minutes.
Nice!! Wish you were closer to me! I was a lot attendant for Volvo during my college days and was trained to be meticulous when detailing a car. I remember the pride of how good we can make a used car look. Anyhow, I have a 2014 silverado and about to do the same. What kind of buffing wheel (if that is what it is) did you use to remove the old adhesive??
Always great info!! Another question for you Darren, with the 3M Stripe Off Disk. Have you ever used it to remove double sided tape on a headlight? I have a customer with an after market reflective plastic border on the lights, and is thinking about removing them. Next tool for my arsenal. Thanks for reading…
That's looks great Darren! I'm glad you pay so much attention to the details!
Darren – In your all your years of detailing have you even used a form to note down any damage or areas of concern before working on someones car and have them sign it? Do you see value in that? Have you ever had people try to blame something on you (to the point of saying they will sue) that you know was there before? I know you can talk to the customer beforehand to gauge what kind of person they are but the person could still act one way before and one way after. Just wondering since you've dealt with many more people than me.
at the very end of the, you do sound like a pimp darren. great tips and demo, i wish you a more succesful business.
Great job, Darren! Thumbs up!
Great video Darren, can you do a video on how you maintain that front chrome grill? I'm not a professional but I like to maintain my family's cars and my dad and brother in law both have big F-150s with chrome grills and I can never get them as shiny as this on in the video.
Great video Darren. I always like to watch them.
As a note. Some of the product links in your web pages are gone. Amazon.com logo appearing instead of product links.

Darren – The drill you use, does it have speed adjustments or is it a single speed? If it's variable, what setting do you use? I have a single speed dewalt drill, would it be to powerful when using the eraser tool? Going to try it anyway but haven't yet. Just wondering in case I need to return it for a variable speed drill.
