David Campbell says:

I had the same problem om my 2000 Impala, come to find out the spare tire
was low on air. I thought I had a bad sensor, but it was a flat spare.

intraterrestre says:

Hey richpin, do you know something about the unnecessary TPMS (Tire
pressure monitor system)? 2007 and up of all american and made in ‘america’
cars has it. My TPMS light on my dash is on, I know there’s a faulty sensor
and dealer bill me a little bit less than my soul to repair it. Will not
fix it, any ideas? thanks!

DJDevon3 says:

I thought he said Paw King brake. It’s a manufacturer of parking brakes
that can’t be de-activated by animals in the car. 😛

EnviroRico says:

Did you lubricate the shims where the brake pads slide / contact them?
Didn’t notice or hear you say if you did…

richpin06a says:

No problem there because i never put fluid in the reservoir as it goes
lower because of pad wear.

GammaCruxis says:

Is that your car Rich? Or a loyal customer’s? Great video as always! Thank
you!

luigithebaker says:

rich you should get some impact swivels. Not the u joint kind they’re a
pain and not the ones with the socket size built in, just the one with a
male on one side and female on the other, I bought some at harbor freight
along with some extensions so i dont have to be fooling around getting the
impact gun into place. Very good time saver. I forgot exactly what they are
called but they should be right next to the impact u joint swivels.

TrueBlueEG8 says:

I agree with the person above, those swivel sockets are worth their weight
in gold, I find them extremely useful in tight spaces , like around turbos
and bell housings. good vid man 🙂

richpin06a says:

Welcome to New England.

mannys9130 says:

Hey Rich, is that caliper grease silicone based? Those slide pin boots will
swell and rot if petroleum grease is used.

richpin06a says:

Thank you for reminding everyone. It is the first thing i do when i take
them out of the box.

rtta51 says:

Don’t forget to clean the rotors with brake cleaner before you put them on
to get the rust inhibitor off. Very important. you don’t want it getting on
the pads.

Clay ton says:

Did you have to take the cap off the brake fluid reservoir and remove some
of the fluid? Normally when blakes are worn right down… there is way too
much fluid in there. Or it’s hard to push the piston in with the cap on

DJDevon3 says:

Great video. First time I’ve ever seen that piston tool. Really neat. I use
a huge C-clamp and it does work but not as efficient as a purpose built
tool like yours. Your videos are getting really streamlined now. Great
info, great angles, loving it.

MrAsadEp says:

I was under the impression you didn’t need to put grease on the pads if
they had the soft backing material on..only grease pads which have no
shims/metal backing shims

richpin06a says:

I like the sound of them.

clapton924 says:

Wow, that rotor was trashed!

ItsAlwaysRusty says:

That is a neat attachment for your air impact gun. Never saw one like
that.. Also, could GM make a more cheap suspension. There is nothing to it.
The rotor looks like something off a kids bike. I’m a GM guy but really
could they put some substance into a car..? Great Vid as usual…Take Care

zx8401ztv says:

Good job mate, like new 🙂

bestmastermind951 says:

with that rust im suprised the caliper still works

richpin06a says:

You would think so but i better double check.

richpin06a says:

It might be ok if the pads have the backing on them.

richpin06a says:

I have not got up to speed on the TPMS but hope to soon.

Ken Rhodes says:

Just what is a “pocking brake”?
