What was the reason why u changed your cam because my old chevy is running
really rough on idle
Thanks man kick ass video
i love this video im use this as a guide for my old gm truck THANKS ALOT
Man you talk some shit.
I’m happy with what I saw. I’m not easily motivated to do things but when
someone is willing to give their tiime and effort to benefit others and I
in knowledge of how to do something that many are not willing to show or
teach I get active ๐ Thank you!
I may have missed but where you get the ball type pushrods n how much?
Best source for pushrods: summit.
Very informative you should have had a person to hold the camera so we can
see a little better
Good info.
Great video, although you should keep those pushrods in order.
Yeah Buddy!
What cam specs did you go with for your new cam?
Also, does the fuel pump need to be removed? I see you removed the fuel
pump.
Yup, wrenchin’ and filmin’ don’t always make the best bed partners ๐
True, vid quality suffered some. I would have liked to have done some redos
for sure. :-
Your videos are exactly what I needed – start to finish (well near finish,
right?! ). Question, when replacing the cam and timing chain and gears, do
I need to pull the distributor out or can I leave it?
Nice van!
Absolutely. The fuel pump pushrod rides on a cam lobe on the camshaft. I’m
pretty sure one of the vids shows the technique for the fuel pump.
What is the RED BAR under the front of the van ?
he you gave good details about the engine . let’s me really understand it
.about what’s good or what’s bad.others show’s don’t show you or tell you
these things here to help you out on rebuilding your 350
a small magnet tool works great on removing the lifters also
video quality made it a little difficult to see as well. overall good video
and very helpful. i’m about to put my first cam in a motor i pulled from a
junkyard… we’ll see how it goes!
Yep, true. The length of the vids become a factor on these lengthy jobs. A
lot of editing gets done to make them shorter for YouTube. But you got some
tips, that’s good.
good tips, i would have liked to see a little more on the removal processes
and the install process
Your lobe on your old cam went bad because of that lifter if you ever put
new lifters in a motor you gotta do them all then go through the break in
process again or the cam goes flat I’ve never seen one as flat as the one
you pulled I’m surprised it ran
Jesus loves you bro
