An easy to follow DIY video tutorial on how to replace the cabin filter on a 2015 – 2020 Chevy Suburban.
Cabin air filters help enhance the air quality inside your vehicle, creating a healthier, more comfortable environment for you and your passengers. A properly functioning cabin air filter can stop up to 90% of dust, pollen, and spore particles from entering the Chevrolet Suburban passenger compartment location.
WHEN SHOULD YOU CHANGE CABIN AIR FILTER ON YOUR CHEVY SUBURBAN?
It is recommended that you replace your cabin air filter every 10,000 – 15,000 miles or once a year.
However, you may want to replace or change the cabin filter in you Suburban more often if:
-You or a frequent passenger suffers from allergies
-You or a frequent passenger has other respiratory problems
-You drive your Suburban on dirt roads or in excessively dusty conditions
-You drive your Suburban in heavily polluted areas
This video tutorial can be used to help remove, change or replace the cabin filter on the following Chevrolet Suburban Models:
2015 Chevy Suburban – LS, LT and LTZ.
2016 Chevy Suburban – LS, LT and LTZ.
2017 Chevy Suburban – LS, LT and LTZ.
2018 Chevy Suburban – LS, LT and LTZ.

2020 Chevy Suburban – LS, LT and LTZ.
Very cool and helpful. Thank you.
What is the tool called ???
Definitely helpful. I thought cabin air filters were a scam. Then I found this video, and swapped mine out after the dealership wanted to charge about $100. I bought the filter for $15, and with this video, able to do it myself. Took about fifteen minutes. Definitely not a scam, as that filter was dirty and dead June bugs (potato bugs) all over it. Glad I found this video.
Just getting an oil change at a Chevy dealer for my 2017 Suburban. They pulled mine out and wanted $75 to change it. Bought one for $10 and did myself. Thanks for the video!
What is that white tube in front of the filter compartment?
Felicidades té tomaste el tiempo necesario para explicar muy bien el procedimiento. Garacias.
Thanks for a great DYI. Our filter was 5 yo and disgusting!
Nice! Thank You
Very good video!
Great video for a refresh. I've done this before. Took me 30 minutes. I have big hands so a bit of a challenge removing the honeycomb door and putting it back. Saved a few bucks. Thank you.
You make it look easy. Just did it in a 19 chevy. GM really wants you to bring it to the dealer with this poor design
Thank you Sir!
