Got Bass link and all wiring for 2012 traverse going at it tis weekend ..
tell me did you just tie in speaker wires from bass link to wires coming
out of oem harness? you mentioned 2 different colors brown yellow/ blue
light blue were they for rear speakers? Were they not connected to anything
when you got back there or will you have to splice in already connected
wires thanks

Malcolm flex says:

*facepalms* Youre not supposed to ground your amplifier like that, it isnt
proper and your amplifier or sub WILL blow eventually.

It has to be connected to bare metal or the chassis of the car, NOT a
seatbelt bolt, and NOT the way you did it

Ryan M says:

Just use a spade connector for the ground. Or use side cutters and cut the
ring connector so its basically a spade connector. And it looks like you
have lots of extra wire. Just cut off everything you dont need.. then you
would be good to go.

Totally agree I could make this much prettier, just have to find the time
to do it. 🙂

DID THE WIRES CONNECTED TO THE BASS LINK COME WITH THE UNIT ? AND YOU TIED
THEM IN WITH YOUR BLUE? ALSO, DID YOU CONNECT TO FRONT OR REAR SPEAKERS?
THANKS A BUNCH MINES ON ITS WAY!

Terrific! I have a 2012 Chrysler 300C. The battery is in the trunk so with
your help here the install should be easy. I thought I would need a hi/lo
converter to tap into the rear speaker signal–but no I don’t. Thanks a
lot. I will try next week while the kids are in school. I will get all the
wires ready first and go for it. A couple of things (1) where’s the gain
remote I don’t think you showed that hook up (under the seat is logical)
and (2) of course how does it sound.

bobby heredia says:

Hey man if you want a cleaner look cut a piece of plywood to the size of
where the mounts go, carpet it, screw your basslink to it and put velcro on
the bottom. Thats how i have mine on my wrangler, it looks clean and the
sub doesnt move at all

Derek Boston says:

I bought better speaker wire than what came with the wiring kit. I can not
remember what the unit came with but I do know I needed a wiring kit for
the install.

Derek Boston says:

Yes the gain remote is under the driver seat, just went up the side of the
vehicle as well. It definitely sounds better than it was and definitely
worth the money.

Great tutorial I have a different car but this helps a lot

Derek Boston says:

Any video I upload with music won’t do it justice but I can guarantee you
it’s worth the money and will make anyone wanting a “better than factory”
sound, happy.

Michael Lewandowski says:

I’m thinking about buying one of these for my 72 Plymouth Scamp 2 door. Any
chance you can upload a video with music or testing it out? You wont be
shaking the car with this thing but since you got it in a decent size suv
I’m sure you are happy with the bass? I listen to a little bit of every
thing. Classic rock mainly. My even throw an extra one in my Sebring and
down size from my 12″ L7 I use to have in the Sebring lol
