Duane R says:

Good Vid man! It looks like I need to do this project on my wifes 06
Trailblazer, what brand of pump did you use?

lgm116 says:

Question … could a bad fuel cap cause the sending unit to go bad! because
my gauge read for a bit but then went back down to E! And I’m perplexed
help please

Neatus Garage Studios says:

I believe it is.

vicdub85 says:

Awesome video. Looks like a huge pain.. ugh…. I heard the fuel filter was
also in the fuel tank. Why not replace those also while you’re at it.

Neatus Garage Studios says:

My pleasure.

Neatus Garage Studios says:

Oh no Luis! I dont think that would make it go bad. I am not an expert.
When I made that video it was the only time I ever changed a fuel pump. I
will do some research and see if I can help you out

Bruce Mccray says:

Thank for the video lot of help

David Morales says:

is it good to use a universl fuel pump in a 2003 chevy trailblazer

Barnekkid says:

Good job, dude. You did it yourself.

Neatus Garage Studios says:

I think the sending unit which is part of the pump is bad. Should most
likely fix it if you replace the pump.

lgm116 says:

Thank you ! video and info was super helpful but what a PAIN IN THE ARSE!

gavirgo32 says:

Great video!!

clinton wenusk says:

Is that a same fuel pump for a 2005 trailblazer?

Neatus Garage Studios says:

Not sure man, I think you need to use the proper one that fits in the tank.

bighead240sx says:

Thanks a lot man…..

Neatus Garage Studios says:

The sensor is attached to the fuel pump. You have to take the pump out no
matter what. You probably can buy the sensor/sending unit but it is a hell
of a lot of work to do. I would change the whole pump. Either way you have
to still do all this work.

Ed Burch says:

Thanks for the video. It was a great help. I just did my ’06 TB and it was
the same. You’re not kidding about those plastic connectors. My advice to
everyone is break all the small ones and buy new. I couldn’t find
replacements for the big white ones. I was able to get 1 or the 3 out
without breaking it. For those ones that I broke I put the pieces back in
and then put a zip tie around them (my chevy Mechanic suggested that). It
works great!

Jack Hanington says:

You’re the man. Thanks!

BulletBlazerSS says:

ughhh… i hate those stupid plastic connectors….

Neatus Garage Studios says:

You could do it in 3 to 8 hours depending on your skill. The clips are the
pain in the ass part. If you have a a buddy it might make dropping and
raining the tank easier.

Neatus Garage Studios says:

Great tip brother. Thanks for watching and I’m glad I could help.

jdaveca says:

Just curious…. If you had done this from start to finish, no
interruptions, how long would you estimate it took you? I need to have this
done, but you made it look doable by your average-joe, however I don’t want
to spend two days working on it.

Neatus Garage Studios says:

Yeah they really suck. If I had any good advice to give it would be to just
buy new ones and break all the old ones off.
