Has anyone ordered the silver bezel metra sells, does it look better than black?

Basement31 says:

do u know if the passlock system and disabling or abling the alarm will show on that aftermarket stereo? i had issues with my equinox starting and accdg. to research…it has something to do with passlock/alarm….i was told to disable the alarm! until now i have no problem starting the engine….i followed the procedure in the manual and it showed on the radio if u do it wrong or correctly. so if this happens to u..try disabling the factory alarm.

Michael Yin says:

Hey man, is the Metra adapter necessary for the stereo to function?

EliteDekaronA9 says:

he does i just watched it it’s right here if you haven’t found it already. /watch?v=n2zgfTAWxc0

doldford3456 says:

do you also have a video of removing the plastic around the deck?

Daniel Turnbow says:

i am wondering which whired u hook up other then speaker wires

dks13827 says:

Great great video, thanks. Any of you folks have really bad ABS problems like I do in my 2005 Equinox ? If so, any suggestions ? Dealer wants mega bucks to deal with it. Also the check engine light is always on ( the code says the gas cap is no good… I am tired of buying new ones. ) Thanks.

MrRobarino says:

I recommend people just buy the steering wheel button adapter. Why spend a small fortune on a new car stereo then cheap out on the wiring harness? That’s just silly. Besides, it’s nice that that the steering wheel controls actually retain their function.

John Good says:

Lmfao, you DONT need to disconnect the Negative Terminal at all. WTF, if you know what the hell you’re doing, you will not cause any problems. Oh, stay the fuck away with Metra anything, it’s complete shit! Scosche only! The Wire Harness is the Scosche GM16SR Class II Chime Interface. Cheap ass people use Metra.

Oscar Sants says:

Yes, I lost all of the steering wheel functions. Metra does sell a separate adapter so that you can keep the steering wheel functions but I decided not to buy the adapter because the Pioneer came with a remote control.

EvoEvil03 says:

Hey, great video. Installing for my wife’s Equinox will be lot easier now. Question though, did you loose the function of the steering wheel buttons that control the radio or any others?

rulukin4me says:

Thank you sooooooo much! I am attempting my first install on my Equiox and this helps out a lot!

Jared Quigley says:

Also how did you connect the two black wires together to make the ground?

Jared Quigley says:

hey man question for you, what did you end up doing with the parking break wire? did you attach it to the parking break wire, and if so how do find the parking break wire in the equinox?
