My truck has a push button switch next to the headlight switch that allows you to turn off the interior lights when the doors are open. If you do not have this option but want to make sure the lights are off while doing the repair you could just remove the fuse for the interior light and then put the fuse back in when the work is done.

The 2 screws are 7mm. before you put the door panel back on. try the stereo with heavy bass to make sure it does not rattle or buzz.

I have not replaced the rear speakers so I can’t answer your question. I would think that the door panel removal would be similar to the front panel but I don’t know the speaker size.
Do you know about the back speakers size. Also how to remove the back speakers.
The size of the speaker appears to be 6 inches. According to several web sites the speaker fits 1999 to 2002 model years.

As stated in the video at about the 2:00 minute mark there are two screws that require at 9/32″ socket. The size may be different on other model years.

I would think that it should work but you should check OEHQ dot COM for the part number “15038566” for all vehicles covered for that part number.

I used the part number stamped on the back of the speaker “15038566” to do a search and found several places where I could order them. I ended up buying the speaker from a company calle “OE PARTS HQ”. OEHQ dot COM.
I love the factory sound that came with these speakers but it’s time to replace and I don’t want to spend a fortune for an older truck. Would really like to know where you got the replacement speaker. I’ve searched and cannot find. BTW great simple video!
I don’t remember the supplier name at the moment. The OEM part number is printed on the back of the speaker (on the magnet as I remember). I just did an internet search for that part number and found several suppliers.

The rear doors on a extended cab are just as easy. All you have to do is take the bolt out of the cup holder pull the panel off slowly one side at a time. When you are putting it back together al you have to do is line the slots up and knock them in .

its faster if u take off the light thru the red side first to disconnect, and yes its very easy.
