Great vid and talking through the steps. I’m gonna add something, which is
not mandatory but a good habit. With the new gaskets, I’ve always put the
correct type of sealant (gasket maker) along with the gaskets, to help with
future leakage possibilities. Also, the sealant will help with keeping the
gaskets in place, but use the bolts as well, obviously.
Excellent video, and very helpful. My son has a truck in this same series
that he bought used, and one of the first problems it developed was a
coolant leak, which I traced to the water pump. Being not terribly
mechanically-inclined myself, and having only replaced one water pump in
the past, about 23 years ago, on an entirely different typle of vehicle, I
was somewhat stumped for useful online resources until I found your DIY
video.
when doing this you should always change your lower hose, even if its not
bad, if its original or old ur better off since u have to drain it to
change it, its just a good thing to do
You are welcome brother.

helped.
Im sorry on the left. Side there is a black small thing bolted to the car
what the name for it on the very corner right side of your hand
I am glad this helped you. It is my main objective to help.
Great video I gotta change a water pump on sb 350
What time in the video are you referring to?
Thanks for the views and comments. The engine was a 4.6L. it should be
similar to the 2.8L.
Thanks, good video. I like it where you did not show us the parts of taking
bolts on and off. Good job
thank you !!!!!
thanx for the video man, I’m replacing my water pump this weekend
It went smooth. The video was a great help.
Thanks. sorry for the delayed response. You don’t need a sealer on the
gaskets unless it you want to use some.
is the 88 a reverse flow or standard…..i replaced mine but am unsure if
its the right one
That saves me $100 easy. Thanks a lot!

Is that a 2.8ltr? Is the process the same on a 87s10 4×4 with the 2.8?
Great Video..Thanks for taking the time to film and post!
Very helpful. Thanks. Is it important to use some sort of sealer on the
gaskets?
