I’ve always loved the 64-66 chevy trucks, and would like to have one, one
thing I’ve noticed is that many have a knob for heater control as yours
does, my brother had a 65 when I was little and it had 3 levers. Is there
some different option? Maybe a knob was dealer installed where levers were
factory? Regardless, awesome truck!

I think I’m having the same issue with my 66. When I turn the heater knob,
nothing happens. After a while of driving I can feel a little bit of heat,
but there is nothing blowing. Does this sound like a blower motor issue?
Also, do I need to check a fuse or test my old blower motor first? Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@choirguy75 I checked the fuse block for any blown fuses and didn’t find
any. I would try running a jumper wire from the positive battery terminal
to the wire on the blower motor, if it doesn’t come on, then I would
suspect the blower motor, if it did, I’d suspect the switch being bad.
That’s how I went about diagnosing my motor problem. I bought my motor from
LMC Truck, it was an identical replacement and of very high quality too.

Hey can you please make some more videos because I have a truck just like
that at 1966 chevy truck and I want to learn more about it

teeter1939 says:

The single knob is called the Thrift Air system and was the base model
available. The three-lever system is called the Deluxe heater and was an
option up from the Thrift Air system. There was also another level that was
tied into the recirculating A/C system, and was the top tier option
available for 64-66. The thing about the Thrift Air is that the defrost
lever isn’t with the fan speed/temperature knob like it is with the Deluxe
option. The defrost lever is under the dash on the heater box.
