How many coats of the nightshade did you use?
This should be a video on how not to tint your tail lights!
Great work!! looks sic!!!
Does the paint stuff make a good gray tint? I don’t want to go too dark but I want it a dark color because I don’t want the stateys on my tail
So he dry sanded with 800 and 2000 and THEN wetsanded with 2000. He should’ve wet sanded from the beginning. Then you should use lacquer thinner or some sort of acetone to clean it, maybe even an IPA solution if that’s all that’s handy. Then you make sure it’s dry and spray you VHT coats, preferably 1000 or 2000 grit wetsand between coats and you definitely should clear coat, wet sand it with at least 2000 and then buff it out
Did you get rims yet ? If not easy way to black them out is Plastidip I just did my chevy badges its holding up pretty good its lovebug season down here in florida so im putting it to the test. Gives you a nice flat black rubberized look or if you hold it alittle farther away on your last coat it will give you a bad ass textured look which is what i did on the front grill you can also get the glossifer and give a shine. VHT Video coming soon.
nice job! has to be whats on my ’99 Trans am.gettin about time to have it redone tho.

Your technique is terrible.
I always clear them. Unless i drop 3 drops of black in clear but i charge more for urethane. Nice sts i have an 06 with lh2 too
if i was in an environment with the proper lighting from all angles, I would have done so but with my given situation I did what I had to do!
Nice lac. But how about putting the lights down and then apraying next time smh
Plastic dip those rims black
You can take the man out the ghetto but you can’t take the ghetto out the man.

Yea use the 2000, no need to go heavier.
do i need to use the heavier grits if the tailights are new? I’m guessing all i would need is to wet sand with 2k right?
I taped off the 3rd brake light and removed only the taillights!
