Removing a failed Cue system for repair on a 2014 Cadillac XTS

https://www.upfix.com/ for many types of electronic repairs on most major brands

Today we are going to be removing a CUE system from a 2014 Cadillac XTS, sending it out for repair and reinstalling it. This R&I procedure is the same for any XTS 2013-2017. These systems are a common failure, so a used part is only a short-term solution at best and dealers want an arm and a leg for a replacement so I have found the most economical and lasting solution to be sending them out to be rebuilt.

Nice work, but this is why I still drive a 71 nova. It's a car and it drives, what else do I need it to do, I don't need my but warmed, or where I'm at on a map, the temp outside, my mirror deiced, I can open my own glove box, slide the seat, check my tire pressure, roll the window down, adjust the mirror, lock the door, open the trunk, look in the mirror, put my seat belt on, turn my head lights on/off, and keep track of when to change my oil, and the radio still works lol. Cars today have way too much plastic and gadgets. $1900.00 new in 1971 and if you use an inflation calculator that would be $13,189.66 in today's money, still a deal.

I find the ingenuity and designs of all the tabs and slots and Velcro® and just popping and slapping the parts into the position in which a different engineer-slash-designer created – is amazing. Kinda like a giant 3-dimensional jigsaw puzzle married a Rubik's Cube and their offspring became a Cadillac.
Is every new car just slap-pop-jam it together?
I love the sound of ripping Velcro® in the morning.

Interesting. I've got a 2014 XTS Vsport Platinum. Flawless car. And so far no issues with the CUE screen. Fingers crossed I guess with the screen!

YouTube has the like button placed way too close to the dislike button and I inadvertently touched the dislike button but corrected it. Sorry about that.

What you have done by the time line 4:54 I would have had my Ram Laramie radio out with on yank of the center panel. But I've made it to 140,000 and am still going strong

My mom had an srx with cue gen 1, and then xt5s with gen 2 and 3/ current…

Honestly they all have kinda sucked, but at least this last one has a volume knob…

Muskoka Mike says:

This highlights something I've been thinking since all these infotainment screens first started appearing: why not simply make the dash accept an android or apple tablet? Specially those vehicles whose designers can't even be bothered to integrate the touch screen into the dashboard, they just bolt it on to an existing one……

Cory Can't Fix says:

Watch the video and got excited about upfix because I need my instrument cluster repaired,
Out of the thousands of cars listed that they repair..mine is the one that's missing.
Sadness!
