1. Insert a new cut chip key in ignition and turn key to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
2. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
3. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
4. Turn key OFF then back ON. The key is now programmed. Start vehicle to test key.
This procedure will program a new transponder ignition key to following Cadillac models:

hello thanks already make that prosess but the ligh never gonne stay static all the time whats i need to program my key i change the computer and supposed the only one code code its computer dont have contact to inmovilizer
Can you REprogram a program key that is not working in the car? I have a 05 caddy cts and I lost one key and now I'm using the spare but it won't start the car
04 cts. Have a new ecm. The key won't relearn. The security light wont go off no matter how long I wait.
2005 Cadillac srx yes it programmed then and started but a few minutes later wouldn't start again

What chip is used

What if the lock light does not ho out?
Does it matter if door is opened and closed during this process?

First Comment 🙂 ok so I have a Cadillac CTS 2007. Does this work for any spare car key I buy, or does it have to be a specific one? Also if I get a car remote from somewhere different and want to reprogram it, will it have any effect on the new key or will they work fine together?
